Greatest Disasters of All Time:
Aug. 26, 1883: The explosion of the Krakatoa volcano.
Apr. 15, 1912: The sinking of the Titanic.
May 6, 1937: The dirigible Hindenberg goes up in flames.
Oct. 1, 2013: The initial rollout of Obamacare.
And nobody should feel smug about it.
This isn’t an “I told you so” moment for any American. It’s costing hundreds of millions of dollars to fix. There are masses of people who are totally confused about their coverage — if they even have coverage.
But if Republicans and yes, a growing number of Democrats, and the harping hyenas who remain hidden safely in the shadows only criticize and don’t construct something that does work, the country will be medically and fiscally damaged. And as foolish as it sounds, that’s what some actually want, regardless of the ramifications of that kind of failure.
Yes, supporters shot themselves in the foot and they don’t know if they’re covered for the injury. Yes, the president and many of his advisers accepted a lot of lousy advice. So, now what?
Fix it, damn it. It’s the law.
Edison’s first successful light bulb followed 10,000 failures.
So, Washington, it’s time to enlighten America.
