Back-to-school can mean back to bullies

Has school started already for your kids?
A lot of Arizona moms and dads have already invested in a new backpack, new back-to-school outfits with room to grow and a feeling that this will be the best year ever.
One more addition, if I might make a suggestion. Cut out a piece of heavy paper the size of a bumper sticker and attach it to a prominent part of your car so that other drivers can read these words: “My child is a bully at Selman Middle School.”
Obviously, the name of the school is up to you and the rest of the message is recommended only if it accurately applies to your child.
If you are now saying “not my kid,” you may be exactly the parent this is intended for. School is not for the strong versus the weak or the predator stalking the victim.
If your son or daughter tells you, any time, that they don’t want to go back to school again, chances are it’s because of fear. That’s when you immediately demand to find out what kind of anti-bullying program is in place at that school. Or start one yourself.
Then you’ll be a hero to your kid and everybody else.
