PHOENIX — Those looking to start their future on the right foot as a married couple might want to keep an eye on Tempe, according to a recent study that ranked the Phoenix suburb as one of the top 30 places in the Untied States for newlyweds.
Destify’s study ranked Tempe No. 28 of 300 cities that compared median household income, median home value, number of newlyweds, cost of raising a child, and the number of restaurants and dining options available.
Each city’s overall score was determined by the weighted average calculated across all metrics.
The study found 20% of the population in Tempe are newlyweds between the age of 25 and 34, which ties for 5th-most.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is best place to tie the knot, according to the study, while nine of the top 10 worst places for newlyweds are located in California.
