Big names in music to help Talking Stick Resort celebrate 10th anniversary

PHOENIX — Talking Stick Resort is pulling out all the stops to celebrate a decade of operation as the Steve Miller Band, Johnny Mathis, and Pitbull will perform at the location on various dates in May.
The Steve Miller Band will take the stage at the Pool at Talking Stick Resort on May 1, while “Mr. Worldwide,” Pitbull will perform at the same location on May 22.
Johnny Mathis will serenade concert-goers inside the Salt River Grand Ballroom on May 8.
Tickets for the Steve Miller Band, Johnny Mathis, and Pitbull are now on sale. Attendees must be at least 21-years-old to experience the concert series.
Each musical act had at least one song achieve No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 at some point during their musical journeys.
Since forming in 1966, songs from the Steve Miller Band have graced the music collection of many people, with hits like “The Joker,” “Take The Money and Run,” “Jungle Love,” “Jet Airliner” and more.
Pitbull is one of the most popular rappers in music today, sporting tracks like “Give Me Everything,” “Fireball,” and “I Know You Want Me.”
Mathis has released over 200 singles during his six-decade career and is best known for his songs “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late,” “Chances,” “Misty” and others.
Pitbull and the Steve Miller Band have each taken home a Grammy.
While Mathis has not been selected for a Grammy yet, three of his songs have been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
