PHOENIX — Arizona foster children in need have received the first 100 of 449 beds to be delivered to Arizona Helping Hands courtesy of furniture outlet Living Spaces.
During its “Buy One, Give One” initiative, Living Spaces pledged to match each customer purchase of a qualifying bed set by donating one mattress set for a child in foster care, according to a press release.
“It’s always a pleasure to support Arizona Helping Hands,” Living Spaces co-founder and CEO Grover Geiselman said in the release.
“We are humbled by the joy that their team brings to kids in really difficult situations, and we’re glad that we can partner with such a great cause.”
Over the past three years, Living Spaces has donated more than 1,300 beds to Arizona Helping Hands, a contribution that exceeds $600,000, according to the release.
“Living Spaces exemplifies the spirit of corporate philanthropy,” Arizona Helping Hands CEO Dan Shufelt said in the release.
“We are so appreciative of their support and of all companies that recognize they have a responsibility to give back and help children in foster care.”
There are currently over 14,000 Arizona children in foster care.
