This bad guy may have been overdressed for the occasion.

“He was probably trying to hide who he is,” Phoenix Police Sgt. Jamie Rothschild said.

“He had a beanie low on his head and he had bulky clothes on.”

The crime happened on Sunday evening, Jan. 19, 2020. The guy walked into the Yummie Yogurt shop near 48th Street and Ray Road.

“He told the clerk he had two guns and he wanted the clerk to hand over the cash, which he did,” Rothschild said.

No one saw how he left or which way he went.

“It’s quite possible that someone saw the amount of clothing he was wearing and thought that was a little too much for the weather,” Rothschild said.

“Maybe that drew attention to him.”

Here’s more on this case.

A robber’s black-framed eyeglasses may be the one thing that gives him away.

“It was Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at about 3:30 in the afternoon near 16th Avenue and Buckeye Road,” Rothschild said.

Two men approached the Metro PCS store; one in a black jacket and black glasses, the other in a white jacket.

“It was broad daylight, so initially these folks probably didn’t seem out of place to most people,” Rothschild said,

But once inside, it was clear trouble was brewing.

One guy didn’t cover his face at all and at one point the other guy pulled a hoodie down over his face and a mask.

“One of the suspects had a gun,” Rothschild said.

“They told the employees to hand over cash. Then, you can see in the video, that one suspect appears to go through the store looking for what else he can steal.”

The store had great cameras so the pictures are pretty clear.

Here’s more about this case.
