Doug Ducey shares table with Trumps at White House Governors’ Ball
PHOENIX – Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey had a prime seat at Sunday’s night’s annual Governors’ Ball at the White House, sharing a table with the Trumps.
First lady Melania Trump tweeted a photo from the formal dinner in which she appears to be conversing with Ducey, who was sitting directly to her right.
President Donald Trump is seated opposite his wife in the photo.
While most of the governors in attendance brought their wives, Ducey was accompanied by Joe Ducey, the second of his three sons.
Ducey also documented the visit, tweeting photos of him and Joe at the White House in front of portraits of John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.
The dinner took place while state leaders were in Washington for the bipartisan National Governors Association’s winter meeting, which started Friday and concludes Monday.
Ducey is a member of the Council of Governors, a 10-member panel – five governors from each party — appointed by the president. He participated in meetings at the White House on Monday.
