Tempe PD: 2 hurt in alleged domestic violence turned suicide attempt

PHOENIX — Two people have been hospitalized with stab wounds in what appears to be a domestic violence incident that turned into a suicide attempt, according to the Tempe Police Department.

Police said that the injuries are serious but do not appear to be life-threatening.

The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday near University Drive and Smith Road.

The investigation is currently active and ongoing.

There was no other information available at this time.
