Romney’s vice presidential pick is…getting old

Question: A name you’re sick and tired of waiting around for?
Answer: Mitt Romney’s vice presidential pick.
For at least another week or two expect to be slammed with stories about Mitt Romney’s vice presidential options. Will he go bold or boring? Apparently, he’s narrowed his choice down to three.
But wait, don’t forget about former Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice, U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Marco Rubio, Former Gov. Jeb Bush and various others.
I get why the campaigns play this game with people and the media. It drums up some decent speculation surrounding the campaign heading into the convention and, for once, it’s not nasty mudslinging about a flip-flop or a promise that wasn’t kept.
The media needs content too, so they’ll search for any little rumor, unnamed campaign source, etc. to write a story around.
Do people really care though? At some point, don’t you get sick and tired of all the speculation and just want to wait to hear who Mitt Romney and his team are going to pick?
Initially I was intrigued and clicked the stories to see what was being said about the various potential candidates, but at this point, I’m over it. That’s saying a lot, because I scour the Internet each night for at least two to three hours looking for stories for Karie and Chuck’s show (and because I’m a nerd and enjoy research and seeing what’s being talked about).
I’m done playing the game though. We’ll know by August 29 at the latest, the third night of the Republican National Convention.
So who is Mitt Romney’s V.P. nominee?
Someone I’ll have plenty of time to research and the media will have plenty of time to shred between the end of August and November 6th.
