Imagine your close friend, neighbor or family member is a struggling single parent undergoing cancer treatment. What would you do to help?
That question is the driving force behind Singleton Moms, a small, Arizona-based nonprofit dedicated to helping single parents battling cancer by meeting the practical day-to-day needs of the entire family.
The nonprofit offers an array of services, including cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning and babysitting. Last year, Singleton Moms provided over 2,160 meals.
The nonprofit’s resources are based on funding from the community. It is always looking for volunteers.
