Phoenix Sky Harbor completes Terminal 3 modernization project

PHOENIX — Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has completed the last phase of its $590 million Terminal 3 modernization project.
City officials celebrated the milestone Tuesday by unveiling a plaque honoring the late U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona, whom the terminal was named after in 2017.
The first phase of the project was completed in 2016, while the second was finished last year.
The north concourse, the third phase, has 10 airline gates and features amenities including an animal relief area and electrical outlets on every seat.

The area will also feature local restaurants Ajo Al’s Mexican Cafe, Scramble and PHX Beer Co.

“The new concourse will be home to local restaurants, stunning art, a nursing room and increased energy efficiency standards,” Mayor Kate Gallego said in a press release.
“This is another important investment in our state’s No. 1 economic driver.”
All airlines in Terminal 2 — Alaska Airlines, Boutique Air, Contour Airlines and United Airlines — will be relocated to Terminal 3 by Feb. 6, when Terminal 2 will close.
Air Canada, currently in Terminal 4, will also move to Terminal 3.
The newly renovated terminal will continue to house Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, Spirit Airlines and Sun Country Airlines.
