PHOENIX — A young man was arrested in Phoenix on Sunday after he allegedly attacked a woman while he was half naked.
The woman was waiting to cross near Seventh Street and Indian School Road around 4 a.m. when she was approached by a man naked from the waist down, court documents stated.
Aurelio Valenzuela, 18, told the woman he liked her and tried to hug her, according to the documents.
After the woman tried to push him off her, Valenzuela allegedly groped her, jumped on her back, struck her in the back of the head and bit her in the hip.
Police said Valenzuela fled on foot and was found around 1 p.m. lying nude on the side of the road.
He allegedly told police he had taken “three pills of acid” earlier and thought what happened was a dream because he was “tripping.”
Valenzuela was charged with one count each of sexual abuse, assault and indecent exposure.
His bail was set at $10,000, and his next court appearance was scheduled for Feb. 3.
