The snow keeps coming down in Boston, and there’s no immediate sign that it’s going to be letting up.
Many businesses and places of learning have taken entire days off amid all the snowfall, but several school principals in the region have found a way to keep themselves occupied.
BDCwire.com says Principal Chris Whitbeck of C.T. Douglas Elementary in Acton, Massachusetts, is the star of a new YouTube video that announces another snow day. The video was posted to his school’s channel on Sunday.
“If you’re watching this video, it means we’re having another snow day,” the principal says at the start of the clip.
Whitbeck enlists other principals from the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District as well as members of his own staff for the lighthearted video, which features a rendition of The Ramones’ “What I Like About You,” with the last word of the title replaced with “snow.”
In casual clothing, the C.T. Douglas principal takes advantage of the empty school premises, frolicking from room to room and pretty much doing whatever he wants, his friends in tow.
Low budget? Yes. Tacky? Perhaps. But the video is a lot of fun, and it’s nice to see the school get some use, at least, during all of these down days.
