Move over, Stephen Colbert. The president has this one.
Barack Obama appeared on the late-night show “The Colbert Report” on Monday during a special Washington, D.C. taping. To say the president did well would be an understatement.
He took over one of Colbert’s most popular segments, typically called “The Word.” But Obama wanted to make it more “presidential” and termed it “The Decree.”
“Stephen, you’ve been taking a lot of shots at my job,” Obama said. “I’ve decided to take a shot at yours.”
Obama poked fun at himself during the first segment before sitting down to an interview (you can see that below) with Colbert, who is leaving Comedy Central soon to take over “The Late Show.”
While we’re going to miss Colbert, we think Obama has a gig waiting after his term expires.
