Thanks, Google.
This year, Christmas lights at the President’s Park of the White House can be animated via Google’s Made W/ Code Holiday Lights project.
The goal, according to Google, is to get kids — and adults, for that matter — to experiment with coding and have fun while they’re at it.
The project actually specifically targets girls, who more often tend to think coding is inaccessible or “nerdy” and therefore resist it.
Google’s message is quite simple.
When you learn to code, you can do awesome things. Discover how beautiful code can be by lighting up a holiday tree outside of the White House.
