Dead body found floating in lake in Sun City

PHOENIX — A dead body was found floating in a lake in Sun City, officials said Wednesday.

The adult male was found by the Sun City Fire Department near Thunderbird and Del Webb boulevards at approximately 1:45 p.m., Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Calbert Gillett said in an email.

Gillett said the body had been underwater for some time.

It was turned over to MCSO for further examination.

No other information was immediately available.
