University of Wisconsin graduate student Eleanor Bartsch went searching high and low earlier this month for a genuine audience she could test her violin rendition of Bach’s ‘Concerto for Two Violins’ on before a performance at the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, Wisc.
She settled on two elephants — 44 and 45-year-old Kelly and Viola — and began to play.
As it turns out, they were huge fans of Bach — swinging to and fro to the sounds of Bartsch’s violin.
“I had no idea this would be the response,” Bartsch said to the Baraboo News Republic.
And according to their trainer, Chip Arthurs, the music choice was a bit of change from the normal rock lyrics of Lynard Skynard.
