For most people riding a bike is second nature, but one California woman has become accustomed to buying stolen bicycles.
According to the Marin Independent Journal, Kentfield, Calif., resident Rebecca Hammett, has been arrested on suspicion of buying stolen bikes with the intent to resell them.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office seized the stolen bikes on Tuesday and is trying to return them to their rightful owners.
More than 130 bikes have been recovered and cataloged. Any victim of bike theft has been asked to email the sheriff’s office or check out their online catalog.
This is not Hammett’s first run-in with the law. She has been previously charged with battery, drug possession and driving with a suspended license.
