Shampoo ad tells women to stop apologizing

“Sorry.”

It’s a word many of use on a daily basis. We use it to apologize for a transgression or when we interrupt a conversation. But do we use it too much?

A new Pantene ad says we do, especially women. The ad shows several women apologizing for just about everything, even in situations where they don’t need to use the word.

The ad encourages women to drop “sorry” and be strong when asking something of a coworker, scooting over a chair or even stealing the sheets at night.

The shampoo company also embraced the hashtags #SorryNotSorry and #ShineStrong to further the campaign.

Ladies, does this ad speak to you? Do you say sorry too much, especially when it’s not needed?

Guys, do you think some women say sorry too much?
