Father of the year receives the gift of a lifetime

People always tend to think their dad is father of the year, but this dad seems to have taken the cake.
Made Man, an online source for men, went on a search for the father of the year just in time for Father’s Day. Kim Elliot saw this as the perfect opportunity to give her husband, Joel, some well deserved recognition.
Seventeen months ago, their oldest daughter was diagnosed with selective mutism (SM), an anxiety disorder which prevents people from speaking in certain situations.
The Elliot family decided to give their daughter a voice and created a nonprofit to promote awareness for SM.
Their nonprofit, I Am Hannah’s Voice, organized a 330-mile bike race. Elliot rode his bike for more than 26 hours straight.
Kim surprised her husband with a trip to Disneyland, but Made Man surprised the whole family with a $10,000 donation to I Am Hannah’s Voice and a special guest. Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum, a leading expert in SM, flew in to offer her speech services to Hannah.
The humbled father seemed to be holding back tears as he received his life-changing gifts.
