Taking place on the turbulent Arizona-U.S. border, the new film “Frontera” will examine both sides of the complex issue of immigration.

According to Voxxi, the new drama was screened at the Alburquerque Film and Media Experience the first week of June, and will now make its way to the big screen.
The film follows what happens when the former Arizona sheriff’s wife (Amy Madigan) is murdered, and a Mexican man, portrayed by Michael Peña, who crossed in to the U.S. illegally is blamed for the crime.
