Sometimes the Internet can work magic and restore our faith in humanity. This is one of those times.
According to the Huffington Post, this video was posted by the Norwegian arm of SOS Children’s Village International, a charity who is currently working to collect warm clothes for children in war-torn Syria.
The video shows an 11-year-old boy who only has a long-sleeved shirt to wear while waiting for a bus in Oslo. He’s obviously cold and the temperatures are low, as many people have multiple layers on.
But then people remove those layers and let him use them. They wrap him in coats and scarves and give him clothes to wear.
“People should care as much about children in Syria as they care about this boy,” Synne Rønning, the information head of SOS Children’s Villages Norway, told The Local. She also noted that the child was a volunteer who was never in any danger during the filming.
It’s official: Faith in humanity restored.
