North Phoenix, East Valley drivers face minor weekend freeway restrictions

PHOENIX — Drivers in north Phoenix and the East Valley will face some minor freeway restrictions this weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be narrowed to three lanes from State Route 51 to Cave Creek Road in north Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
The northbound SR 51 ramp to the westbound Loop 101 will be closed during that time.
The restrictions are also scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

Also in north Phoenix, northbound Interstate 17 will be narrowed to one lane at Rose Garden Lane from 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday and at Happy Valley Road from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday for interchange reconstruction.
In Tempe, the eastbound U.S. 60 ramp to northbound Loop 101 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday for barrier wall repairs.
The eastbound U.S. 60 will also be narrowed to two lanes from the Loop 101 Price Freeway to Crismon Road across Tempe and Mesa from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night from Sunday through Thursday for pavement improvement work.
In Chandler, the northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Ray Road and northbound off-ramp at Warner Road will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday for a widening project.
Finally, in the West Valley, the eastbound Interstate 10 off-ramp at Avondale Boulevard will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday for paving.
