PHOENIX – Healthy food and drink options have arrived in downtown Gilbert’s restaurant row.
Kaleidoscope Juice recently opened its seventh Valley location in the East Valley town’s Heritage District.
“We are buzzing with delight to open our shop in Gilbert and share our passion for mindful eating and high vibe foods with this new community,” Alexandra Maw, the company’s founder and co-owner, said in a press release.
A soft opening started earlier this month, and full hours will go into effect in mid-March.
A grand opening celebration was scheduled for April 3-4, when customers can get a free bottled cold-pressed juice with any purchase.
The shop is located just west of Gilbert Road in the building behind Barrio Queen, occupying 1,100 square feet of what used to be an Even Stevens sandwich shop. The street address is 60 W. Vaughn Ave., Suite 105.
The other half of the former Even Stevens space is now the home of Fifth Estate Tattoo, which moved a few blocks from its Gilbert Road location in October.
The new juice bar will have banquet seating and a communal table for dining in plus a production area for baking gluten-free, vegan and sugar-free goodies.
“We wanted to bring the baking experience into our shop to showcase what we have always done behind the scenes,” Maw said.
In addition to Kaleidoscope’s signature pressed fruit and vegetable juices, the menu includes smoothies, coffee drinks, acai bowls and grab-and-go salads.
