Colorized photos bring history to life

Nov 8, 2013, 2:11 AM | Updated: 7:37 pm

When a lot of people take history courses, it feels as if the past is so far away, especially when you look at black-and-white photos.

But now a group on Reddit called Colorized History is making these old images come to life.

In a new thread, digital artists are breathing life (and color) into some of the most iconic and famous photos of all time that were originally shot in black-and-white.

According to TwistedSifter.com, the photos come from a variety of artists.

Some are really well done, a few have errors (Elizabeth Taylor had violet eyes, not green), while other artists are still learning. I went through and found a few of my favorites. Enjoy. After you do, be sure to go check out more on Reddit.
