Scottsdale-based Goldwater Brewing to open Mesa location Friday

PHOENIX — A local brewer is holding a grand opening Friday morning for its second location in the Valley.

Goldwater Brewing’s Longbow Taproom near Recker Road and the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway in Mesa opens at 11 a.m.

The company will serve beer, wine and cider on 30 taps, and popcorn. Patrons are encouraged to bring in food to enjoy with their drinks.

Goldwater launched in 2015 near Scottsdale Road and Fourth Street in Scottsdale. That brewery features two taprooms.

The group produces a wide range of craft beers, including the Desert Rose Cactus ale, the Midnight Menace black Indian pale ale and the Oats M’gotes oatmeal stout.

Goldwater won a medal at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival for its Machine Gun Teddy American-style brown ale.
