PHOENIX — A popular Tempe bar is back open for business in a new location a month after it was forced to close.

College Bar and Grill reopened Saturday evening on Mill Avenue near Seventh Street.

The bar had to close its doors at its Fifth Street and College Avenue location in early December because the building was sold and the buyer did not want to have a bar.

Despite opening in early 2018, College Bar and Grill became a convenient and popular spot for Arizona State University sports fans because of its close proximity to Sun Devil Stadium and Desert Financial Arena.

Co-owner Nick Nicholas told KTAR News 92.3 FM in December that it was their intention to find a new location and reopen the bar as quickly as possible.

“I think we’re genuinely excited about the future because our day-to-day foot traffic on Mill Avenue is much greater than it is on College Avenue,” Nicholas told ABC15.

The bar offers traditional American fare in addition to craft beer and other alcoholic drink options.
