Shooting leaves man dead in north Phoenix, suspect sought

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are looking for a suspect after a man was killed in a shooting near 35th Avenue and Dunlap in north Phoenix.

Authorities say they located one man with an apparent gunshot wound around 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.

He was pronounced dead on scene.

The suspect fled the area before police arrived on scene, according to authorities.

The area of 35th Avenue and Dunlap eastbound will remain closed while the investigation continues.
