Another reason to dislike hipsters? Is it even possible?
According to the Los Angeles Times, yes: Hipsters are reportedly driving up the price of beer.
Researchers cited the booming popularity of Pabst Blue Ribbon — popular with hipsters — as a main factor for the overall rise in the price of beer.
“I believe the single biggest driver in sub-premium beer price increases is indeed specifically PBR,” [Research Sciences President Chuck] Ellis said. “It has become quite fashionable.”
Ellis also said that lower-priced beers, like PBR, have seen a double-digit price percentage increase.
