PHOENIX — An alcoholic beverage company has selected a West Valley city as its new home for a facility that will produce a popular hard seltzer and other drinks.

Mark Anthony Brewing is bringing a 916,000-square-foot facility to Glendale that will brew White Claw Hard Seltzer, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Mike’s Harder Lemonade and Cayman Jack Cocktails.

The beverage company is aiming to open the facility in June despite construction having not been started, according to a press release.

“The primary reason we selected Glendale was the innovative thinking and personal support of Gov. Doug Ducey, the city of Glendale, the Arizona Commerce Authority, and their willingness to embrace our vision and commit to the support required for our rapid build-out and aggressive timeline,” Mark Anthony Brewing President John Sacksteder said in the release.

“Once complete, this new facility will be a beacon for the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the city of Glendale and the state of Arizona.”

The facility will be located in Glendale’s “New Frontier,” which surrounds Luke Air Force Base on all sides near Loop 303.

Mark Anthony anticipates it will hire more than 200 employees once the facility is finished.

“This facility will help keep up with consumer demand for White Claw while bringing additional jobs and investment to Glendale,” Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers said in the release. “I welcome this development and Mark Anthony Brewing to our city.”
