Avnet enjoys being located in the Valley and also looks to make its home a better place, said Avnet Vice President for Public Relations and Community Affairs Teri Radosevich.
The company takes a three-point approach towards community outreach.
“We look at children’s issues, we look at education and we look at technology,” said Radosevich.
Rather than simply contributing funds to select charities, Avnet believes in a hands-on approach when it comes to working with the community.
“We send our employees into the community to do volunteer work, we do drives and collections, we sponsor events from Hands-On Greater Phoenix to our signature event, which is called the Avnet Tech Games.”
Radosevich said Avnet has contributed $225,000 to the community from the Tech Games alone.
