PHOENIX – The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year at the airport.
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport spokesperson Heather Scalbrack told KTAR News 92.3 FM that the best thing holiday travels can do is to plan ahead.
“The biggest tip for travels is to arrive earlier and give yourself plenty of time,” Scalbrack said.
If you’re traveling domestically, arrive at least two hours before your flight and give yourself three hours for international flights.
Scalbrack also said to check your flight status with the airline in case there are any delays.
Phoenix Sky Harbor is also offering gift wrapping for those doing last minute Christmas shopping. It will be available Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The locations are just past the Terminal 4 B and C security check points as well as near the baggage claim area in Terminal 4.
As always, Scalbrack said to check your carry-on bag for any prohibited items and visit Sky Harbor’s website for additional travel tips.
