PHOENIX – Police are on the lookout for a man seen on video stealing cash that a person in a wheelchair had just withdrawn from an ATM in a Phoenix convenience store.
The theft occurred Dec. 3 inside the QuikTrip at 30th Street and Indian School Road, the Phoenix Police Department said.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect, wearing a light blue or gray jacket or sweatshirt with the hood up, get out of a parked blue Kia Sportage and enter the store.
Footage from inside the store shows him standing behind the 63-year-old victim while the person is using an ATM.
The suspect is seen grabbing something from the victim and then quickly leaving the story, getting into his car and driving off.
Anybody with information about the incident was asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or online.
Earlier this month, a man was arrested after being caught on video attempting to steal a wheelchair from the woman sitting in it on a light rail train in Phoenix.
