PHOENIX – Goodyear Police Chief Jerry Geier has been fired, the West Valley city announced Friday afternoon.
Geier, who was hired in 2012, and three other police employees were placed on administrative leave in early October over allegations of unspecified misconduct.
Deputy Chief Justin Hughes, Officer Kyle Cluff and Administrative Services Manager Susan Petty remain under investigation, the city said in a press release.
The allegations are “non-criminal and non-financial in nature,” according to the release.
Geier, who was found to have violated unspecified administrative policies, has the right to appeal his termination.
The city said it would not release additional information about the allegations or the investigation until the appeals process has been completed.
