Missing 39-year-old Phoenix man found safe; Silver Alert canceled

PHOENIX — A missing 39-year-old man has been found safe, canceling a Silver Alert that had been issued Wednesday.

Wilondja Placido Mto had last been seen Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. near 33rd and Northern avenues.

Mto was found near McDowell Road and 40th Avenue.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Mto has a “developmental issue” that causes him to appear confused or disoriented.

He only speaks Swahili.
