PHOENIX – Over 100 exhibitors, rescue groups and discounted vaccinations are just a few of the amenities visitors can expect when bringing their four-legged friend to the Phoenix Holiday Pet Expo at the Rawhide Event Center in Chandler over the weekend.

Taking place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the cost of admission is free with any pet food item donation.

People can also buy tickets costing $2 for adults and $1 for seniors, veterans, and children, but the event would much rather people bring a pet food item and get in free.

Other features include a full entertainment schedule with speakers and demos, a parade of pets, an agility course, and contests with giveaways for both the two-legged and four-legged.

In order to attend the event, people must complete an online waiver.

Attendees are encouraged to bring only pets who are well behaved and don’t get stressed in crowded places with noisy situations.

Pets also must be current on all shots or plan to update immunizations at the event.

The list of exhibitors, an expo map and more can be viewed in the program online.
