PHOENIX — Need something to spruce up a classroom or home office? Or maybe a unique wrapping paper for the holidays?

The Arizona State University Library Map and Geospatial Hub on the Tempe campus will be giving away hundreds of maps this week.

The event is open to the community and will run 3-6 p.m. on Friday. Online registration is free.

Anyone interested can also visit the library before the event and pick out items in the “Take a Map” box.

The giveaway comes as the hub downsizes for its move from Noble Library to Hayden Library.

“As much as we love all our maps, we unfortunately cannot take them all with us,” organizers said in the event description.

The hub’s new location is expected to open in January.

We want to hear from you.
