PHOENIX – Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market will open a huge store in a northeastern Phoenix suburb early next year, the grocer has announced.
The Cave Creek site has been scheduled to open Feb. 19 at 7 a.m., according to the company website.
The store at Carefree Highway and Cave Creek Road will be the grocer’s 44th in the state and 32nd in the Valley.
The nearly 30,000-square-foot market will have about 140 employees. A job fair was scheduled Jan. 15-16 at the Cambria Hotel near Loop 101 and Tatum Boulevard in Phoenix. Start times were 8 a.m. both days.
Openings include clerks, cashiers and department managers.
Sprouts continues its aggressive expansion in 2019, having set its sights on launching 30 stores.
The latest store to open in the Valley was Sept. 11 at 59th Avenue and Baseline Road in the Laveen area of Phoenix.
The healthy food retailer has around 340 stores spread across 22 states.
In another move to lure Valley shoppers, the chain began offering curbside pickup in August, just about a year after it began testing the service.
More than 12,000 products are available for pickup orders, which can be scheduled for same day or in advance.
