PHOENIX — A Chandler man is facing charges after police found him asleep behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle last week.
Cesar Limon, 25, was found Nov. 24 around 5 p.m. in a running white 2017 Subaru near Kyrene Road and Chandler Boulevard that had been reported stolen, according to Chandler police.
When police told Limon to exit the vehicle, he reportedly tried to flee but struck a parked car.
Officers then tried to remove Limon from the vehicle, but he tried to flee again and struck a patrol vehicle, according to Chandler police.
Limon was arrested a short time later and transferred to a local hospital after going into shock from possible drug ingestion, police said.
He was released from the hospital the following day and booked into the Chandler/Gilbert Unified Jail on multiple felony counts, including theft of means of transportation, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer and possession of narcotic drugs.
