PHOENIX — Drivers in Surprise will have to be wary of several road closures that begin on Monday.

In the longest street shut down, Sarival Avenue will be closed from Cactus Road to Hearn Road through the end of February for road improvement work, the city said in a press release.

Local traffic on Sarival Avenue will only be open between Greenway and Hearn roads during that time.

Additionally, Cactus Road will be closed between Cotton Lane and 175th Avenue for utility work until 6 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Roadway improvement work will also close 173rd Avenue between Jomax Road and Maya Way until 6 p.m. on Dec. 13.

Finally, the road closure limits for the ongoing Waddell Road Improvement Project will be extended to include the Sarival Avenue intersection and up to Legacy Park Boulevard.

The roadway, which is currently closed between the Loop 303 and Sarival Avenue, is expected to remain closed through January.
