Pedestrian hit by 3 vehicles in Phoenix; 2 leave scene

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are looking for two hit-and-run drivers after three vehicles collided with a pedestrian Tuesday evening.

Police said a 28-year-old woman was crossing Indian School Road midblock near 83rd Avenue when she was hit around 6 p.m. She was hospitalized in critical condition.

Witnesses said she was hit by at least three vehicles but they did not know who hit her first.

Two vehicles fled the scene, police said. One may be a Chevrolet pickup truck.

The third driver, a 37-year-old man in a Toyota Tacoma, stayed at the scene.

Police said he hit the woman while she was already on the ground. He was not suspected to be impaired.
