Phoenix PD: Man in extremely critical condition after being shot

PHOENIX — A man has been left in extremely critical condition after being shot in north Phoenix on Saturday afternoon, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The incident occurred near Ninth Street and Bell Road around 1:30 p.m.

Police say that they are continuing to search for the suspect after he ran from the scene.

The suspect has been described as a 20- to 30-year-old male that has a medium build and is wearing dark clothing.

Authorities are also continuing to investigate what led up to the shooting.
