PHOENIX – A body was found floating in a Phoenix park lake Thursday morning, authorities said.

The body appeared to have been in the water at Steele Indian School Park for “a significant amount of time,” according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Phoenix police said the victim was an adult male, and the body had no obvious sign of trauma.

Police said it would be several days before the medical examiner determines the cause of death.

Detectives and a dive team investigated the incident.

The park is located on Indian School Road between Central Avenue and Seventh Street.

No other information was immediately available.
