Meet Narwhal, the magical unicorn puppy with a tail on his head

Maybe unicorns are real after all.
A Missouri dog rescue group has evidence.
Mac’s Mission took in a puppy last week with a tail growing out of his head.
The organization named him Narwhal (after the Arctic whale with a long tusk-like tooth that looks like a horn) and refers to him as a magical unicorn puppy.
The extra tail is attached right between Narwhal’s eyes and is about a third of the size of his rear tail.
Narwhal’s unicorn tail doesn’t wag, however, and a medical exam found that it isn’t connected to anything under the skin.
As Mac’s Mission said on Facebook, it “has no real use other than making him the COOLEST PUPPY EVER!”
The group says other than the extra bit, Narwhal is like any other puppy and loves to play.
He won’t be available for adoption until he gets bigger and his caretakers can be sure the bonus appendage doesn’t cause any issues.
Mac’s Mission specializes in rescuing special needs dogs in Jackson, Missouri.
“Right now he is pretty much the most unique amazing example of what we do here and we are so thankful to have the chance to be part of his journey,” the group said on Facebook.
Since first being revealed to the world in a Nov. 8 Facebook post, Narwhal has become a phenomena. News of his magical existence has even spread across the Atlantic via England’s BBC News.
