PHOENIX – Hot dogs are on the house, or haus, this weekend when a California-based fast-casual chain opens a new location in Gilbert.
The Valley’s second Dog Haus is set to debut Saturday at SanTan Village with an enticing offer.
Customers who download the restaurant’s app and use it to check in can get a free Haus Dog from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. opening day.
All seven dogs on the menu are available in the offer, including the Sooo Cali (topped with wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy fried onions and spicy basil aioli), the Downtown Dog (a smoked bacon wrapped dog topped with caramelized onions, pickled peppers, mayo, mustard and ketchup) and the Chili Idol (dog topped with chili, cheddar cheese sauce and onions).
“We are excited to introduce Dog Haus to the East Valley and can’t wait to acquaint the community with our delicious all beef Haus Dogs, handcrafted proprietary Haus Sausages and Black Angus beef burgers,” franchisee Andi Ott said in a press release.
The new location will be Dog Haus’ second in Arizona and first featuring the chain’s Biergarten concept with a dog-friendly patio.
The 2,900-square-foot restaurant will have a full bar with 24 beers on tap and serve handcrafted cocktails.
In addition to hot dogs, the menu has burgers, sausages, chicken and sliders as well as plant-based options from Beyond and Impossible.
The Gilbert location will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sundays-Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays-Saturdays.
It will take over the former World of Beer spot in SanTan Village, which is located at Williams Field Road west of the Loop 202 Santan Freeway.
The Valley’s first Dog Haus opened earlier this year in the Scottsdale Quarter. Another one is planned for CityScape in downtown Phoenix.
