PHOENIX – An energy drink company is getting closer to opening a huge manufacturing and distribution plant in Phoenix before the end of the year.
Bang Energy expected to add more than 300 jobs when the 400,000-square-foot facility near 43rd Avenue and Buckeye Road fully opens.
The first phase was planned to start production in December.
CEO Jack Owoc said in a statement Tuesday the state-of-the-art space and equipment would be able to produce beverages “at blistering speeds of 3,600 cans per minute.”
The Florida-based company acquired the site for $52.3 million.
“These next-generation manufacturing companies bring opportunities in technology, engineering, and manufacturing,” Mayor Kate Gallego said in a press release.
The company is part of Vital Pharmaceuticals and has made energy drinks for over 27 years.
Owoc said he expected to invest “well over $260,000,000 in Phoenix, Arizona … (for a) city and state that laid out the red carpet for us.”
