Glendale police investigating after officer shoots suspect

PHOENIX – Glendale police were investigating after an officer shot and wounded a suspect Monday evening.
No officers were injured during the incident, which took place around 6 p.m. near Olive and 43rd avenues.
The suspect was receiving medical attention, police said.
No other information was immediately available.
It was the 31st shooting involving law enforcement in the Valley this year, the third involving the Glendale Police Department, according to statistics compiled by KTAR News 92.3 FM.
