PHOENIX — A new Dollar General in Phoenix will hand out gift cards to customers during its grand opening Saturday.
Starting at 8 a.m., the first 50 shoppers at the 1809 W. Southern Avenue store will receive $10 gift cards, according to a press release.
The first 200 shoppers will receive tote bags with product samples inside.
“Dollar General is committed to delivering a pleasant shopping experience that includes a convenient location, a wide assortment of merchandise and great prices on quality products,” Dan Nieser, senior vice president of real estate and store development, said in the release.
“We hope our area customers will enjoy shopping at Dollar General’s new location.”
The discount store is the chain’s 10th in the Phoenix area and will employ six to 10 people, according to the release.
Dollar General celebrated the opening of its 16,000th store earlier this fall in Panama City, Florida.
