Giordano’s debuts plant-based sausage pizza in Phoenix area, nationwide
PHOENIX – Vegetarians will have a new menu option at one pizza chain in the Valley.
Chicago-based Giordano’s will become the first pizza chain in the nation to debut Impossible sausage as a topping starting Nov. 5.
Giordano’s partnered with Impossible Foods, a company that makes meat products from plants, to offer the option.
The topping is available on all of their pizzas and at their 70 locations across the country. Giordano’s has two Valley locations in Phoenix (12811 N. Tatum Boulevard) and Peoria (16222 N. 83rd Avenue).
The restaurant introduced new menu items in August, teasing the release of the Impossible sausage topping at select locations to start.
At that time, they also debuted a Parmesan-crusted pan pizza and cauliflower-crust pizza as a gluten-free alternative.
