PHOENIX — HonorHealth broke ground Wednesday on its new Neuroscience Institute in Scottsdale.
The $44 million institute will be located at the Osborn Medical Center between Goldwater and Drinkwater boulevards at Osborn Road.
The 120,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in spring 2021, according to a press release.
Patients with conditions including multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other movement disorders can be treated at the institute.
It will include a 26-chair infusion center, neurosurgeon offices and a physical therapy center.
“As a nonprofit, local community health care network, HonorHealth is committed to providing greater access to care for the patients we serve,” Kim Post, executive vice president, said in the release.
“The Neuroscience Institute centralizes care for patients living with spine and neuro disorders, which allows for a personalized experience.”
HonorHealth serves 1.6 million people in the Phoenix area and employs more than 12,000.
